Our Team
The Virginia Tech Competitive Cheer team is made up of 25-30 athletes. Our team has been all-girl as well as coed in the past. Male and female students are encouraged to try-out, however the division of our team depends on demand. We compete every year at NCA College Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida along with other competitions along the east coast. We also practice 2-3 nights a week. Our team is strictly a competition team and we DO NOT perform at Virginia Tech varsity athletic events.

Executive Board
President: Allyssa Rispoli
Allyssa will be a senior next season and her exec position is the president! She it majoring in political science and national security. Allyssa is from Altoona, PA. This is her favorite team memory: “this season was the best one yet! Even though it was cut short I loved every practice with this team!”
Secretary and Social Chair: Lauren Murphy
Lauren's exec position is secretary and social chair. Lauren will be a senior next season and is majoring in human nutrition foods and exercise. Lauren’s home town is Haymarket, VA and this is her favorite team memory: “building friendships that will last a lifetime while rebuilding this program with my favorite people (and Charlotte of course duh)!”
Treasurer: Moorea Patcha
Moorea is the team treasurer. She a rising sophomore majoring in human development. Moorea’s hometown is Charlotte, NC and her favorite team memory is “traveling with my best friends and working the competitions!”
Fundraising and Apparel: Kate Anderson
Kate will be a junior next season and her exec position is the Fundraiser and Apparel Officer. She majors in Real Estate and her home town is Mechanicsville, VA. Kate’s favorite memory is “anytime we travel together, even the car ride there is entertaining, Daytona & Charlotte are definitely top on the list”
